Ahlem Spring Summer 2022

Introducing the new 2022 Spring Summer Collection from Ahlem.

If you haven’t popped into our opticians in Wimbledon village eyewear boutique and seen Ahlem before, let me give you a brief introduction.

Ahlem is a Parisian eyewear designer with boutiques in Los Angeles and New York. Launched in 2014 by Ahlem Manai-Platt her collections are a beautiful mix of modern & vintage design with laser engravings inspired by Bauhaus, meticulous attention to detail, exceptional craftsmanship and of course handmade by specialized artisans in Oyonaxx, France.

Her love of her home city of Paris is evident as all of her frames are named after some of her favourite places in the city from the Louvre, the Champ de Mars and Pont Des Arts bridge to name just a few.

In 2020 she was labelled by Vogue as “L.A.’s favourite sunglass designer” and it’s easy to see why as her frames have been spotted on many a celebrity including Gigi Hadid, Reese Witherspoon (St Germain), Emily Ratajkowski (Bel Air), Suki Waterhouse (Place Blanche), Chris Hemsworth (Place de La Madeleine) and Emma Roberts (Pont Des Arts) the list could go on and on.

Now onto her new collection – Ahlem Spring Summer 2022

The new collection celebrates a return to life with sculpted ultra-feminine and oversized. They represent the progressive attitude of 70’s eyewear with vivid geometric shapes while maintaining the signature design features that make Ahlem unique including raw & diamond cuts and the contrasting colour palettes from black and turtle to the softer pastel tones such as the new Novemberlight and Coffeelight acetates.

Ahlem Babylone

An unapologetically oversized cat-eye.

Rue du Soleil
