Our favourite sunglasses of 2022
With spring underway and summer just around the corner, we have picked out our top ten favourite & trending sunglasses of 2022.
Olympy – Thierry Lasry
We kick things off with the Olympy from Thierry Lasry in one of my favourite acetate colours and one that is certainly been popular this year, peach.
Saucy – Thierry Lasry
Another from Parisian designer Thierry Lasry, the Saucy is a fantastic, oversized ladies style. The soft translucent turquoise colour makes this a great summer style as the soft colour is in keeping with our summer colour palettes.
Abbesses – Ahlem
The ideal frame for those petite faces who struggle to find a sunglass style that doesn’t completely take over their face. The Abbesses is handmade in the Oyonaxx, France and is available in multiple colours including a light turtle, indigolight (above) and dry pampas.
Place de la Madeline – Ahlem
Probably the most eloquent frame stocked here in Wimbledon. It features impeccable detailing, a turtle Windsor rim and 22k gold plating.
Vivienne – Ahlem
Possibly my favourite sunglass here at Ace Eyewear, the Vivienne is an oversized, square and graphic frame with a raw cut bottom half which adds a unique style to the frame.
Passage Lepic – Ahlem
If you’re looking for a vintage yet modern feel look no further. Thick acetate sides, soft teardrop shape and blue-tinted lenses.
Dogmaty – Thierry Lasry
For those larger headed gents (myself included), look no further than the Dogmaty from Thierry Lasry handmade from Italian, Mazzucchelli acetate. Available in multiple colours but we have chosen the crystal acetate and blue tint combination, a staple of any gent’s sunglasses collection.
Melancoly – Thierry Lasry
Strikingly feminine in the beautifully bold red. It speaks for itself really.
Reiner – Salt
A timeless sunglass from Salt in matte mauve mist with classic G15 tint. A very universal shape that suits most face shapes.
Place de la Bastille – Ahlem
Our final recommendation features a double bridge, round lenses and is a twist on the classic pilot shape.
If you would like to view our fantastic sunglasses collection please do pop into our Wimbledon boutique, where we also offer eye tests and frame styling consultations. Which can both be booked online.
We look forward to seeing you soon,
