Introducing Anne et Valetin
The curation of two opticians from Toulouse who were looking for graphic and original frames for their friends but decided to create what they couldn’t find.
The Anne et Valentin story evolves with every passing stranger, customer, or friend, their individual personalities, ages, styles, and genres. From their creative studio, they are always deep in thought of how to redefine lines and volumes, drawing upon artistic impressions that have left their mark in history
At their heart, they are not only artists, creators, and designers but importantly opticians. That is why they have such a deep, clear, and total understanding of the adventure at stake in the making of a frame and in all the stages involved in the process.
For Anne et Valentin being “Made in France” was a moral commitment and have been manufacturing their eyewear in the same few factories in the French Jura mountains since day one.
At our little Wimbledon village opticians, we are lucky to be one of their carefully selected retailers.
Our favourite Anne et Valentin collection
Comprised of 7 all feminine shapes, a combination of thick and regular acetate frames. They take their inspiration from the new wave spirit of the eighties. Named after trendy districts of Los Angeles, New York, Barcelona, Milan, and Paris.
Their shapes bring structure and confidence to the wearer’s face, while still being easy to wear and universal.
Brera – is a large, flattering, ultra structured acetate frame that is the perfect bold statement frame for softer, rounder faces.
Bel Air – is a very strong cat-eye that is very uplifting and puts a smile on the wearer’s face.
Barceloneta – is another structured feminine cat-eye but with more finesse than other models such as the Brera due to it’s thinner acetate material.
Our favourite new Anne et Valentin model
Fandango – this model is full of surprises, a round eye at a distance but as you get closer is made up of subtle angles. This frame sits perfectly between chic and casual, traditional and modern.
Anne Valentin sunglasses collection – Sunset City
Are you catching the last of the summer sun or finally jetting off for a well-deserved break? Come and check out Anne et Valentin’s – Sunset City sunglass collection before you jet off.
The focus of the collection is density, energy and light. They use lots of bold and unique colour mottled acetates which subtly change colour on the wearers face. Along with other nuances including sculpted temples, bevelled rims and layered cutouts.
