Introducing German innovation from YouMawo

We are thrilled to announce YouMawo as the latest collection to join our other awesome and unique eyewear designers here at our Wimbledon boutique. 

Launched at the Berlin Optical show in 2016, YouMawo is at the forefront of innovation using innovative materials, manufacturing techniques, and face topography to produce a frame that is perfect for each unique individual. This bold innovation has won them numerous designer awards even in their comparatively short existence. 

The frames are produced from Nylon and manufactured using some of the most advanced 3D printing technology on the market. This allows the frames to not only be extremely light (30% lighter than traditional acetate) but also considerably more durable. 

Now for the really exciting part, the YouMawo app allows us to scan each individual client’s face. Based on these results we can customize eleven different elements of the frame, from bridge size to temple length to ensure the absolutely perfect fit for each individual. This information is then sent directly to YouMawo’s factory in Germany where they put your bespoke frame into production and 3-6 weeks later the most comfortable and perfectly fitting and proportioned frame will arrive.
